We are outside a lot these days. It's been humid and unbearable, but the kids love it.

Me? No. I could do without 90 degree days and humidity that makes it feel like you are always in a sauna.

Organ Donation: Save a Life

I have a family member who needs a kidney. For various medical reasons, none of us can give him one. We've known that someday it would be needed. The waiting game continues. Once you get on the registry, you wait and hope.

I guess this is why I always sign my license and mark "full body donor." And I tell my husband, if something bad ever happens, to tell the doctors to take what they can and save/improve another's life.

For whatever reason, I have found this topic--organ donation--to be a sensitive one. I don't understand why. I can't think of a better, more lasting mark to leave on this world than to save or improve a life or lives.

A Good Book, A Silly Kid, & A Good Find

This book is good. I recommend it to anyone wanting a quick, witty, satisfying read.

The book contains only letters from the characters. I enjoyed it. I admit I rarely write letters anymore. Usually I send out an email. Letters are nice. I think I may write a few now.

Here is a yard sale treasure I found this past weekend:
The glass is broken in the bottom right corner. I am tempted not to replace the glass. Somehow it gives it more charm broken....If that is possible? But, a solid piece of glass would keep the dust out.
Isn't it lovely? I haven't found a special place for it just yet. I really do love it.

Recommend a book. Please don't recommend Twilight. I would rather poke my eyes out than read that book! Okay, maybe not really poke my eyes out. I do like seeing. But seriously, recommend a good book. Thanks.
