Making Stuff....

I got busy this evening! First I spruced up some clothing with iron ons! I ordered them on Etsy from here. She is the nicest seller, and the iron ons last. I sometimes put a stitch around them or a zig zag one, but not always, and I never run into any problems.

And I have been busy making owls for a Fall party. I haven't stuffed these yet or sewed up the bottom, but I wanted to show them off. I think they are so cute. I might have to make one for me. Lately I have been gravitating to bright colors. I think it's cheery. In between the wings is a little pocket for kids to hide a treasure or two. I hope they are a hit and not a miss. Gotta problem? I got a solution.

I bought this plant 10 yrs ago and gave it to Kevin. It was small...maybe a foot and half high. Now look at it. My house can't keep up with its' growth!

Maybe I should hire a hit man???
Sure...NO PROBLEM! She only wants that special seafood cat food and some catnip.

Making Gifts

It's making quality gifts-as-fast-as-you-can season here. Every year I SWEAR I will start sooner, and I do, but here is the problem....I LOVE to give away things after I am done. I need to save!!! I made a million little hair clips and barrettes. And I have been making crochet flower pins too.

Upgrade?

I found a gray fabric shower curtain on clearance for $1.48!!! I had change in my pocket and a vision in my head of what I wanted. I do like the look. I had white fabric already. I made two sets so both windows have the same look. I think it looks elegant!??

Too bad I didn't take any pictures before!

Oh, the tie backs are the top of the shower curtain....holes and all for the shower curtain rod!

Veggies, Crafts, & Halloween Craft

The secret to getting the entire family to eat their veggies--2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce and 3/4 cup frozen pineapple pieces. It works every time now! I leave it on Med heat until everything cooks and all the liquid is absorbed. It is great on brown rice too.

It comes with a DVD and is very easy to follow. I don't know if it is "Lots of FUN" as advertised, but it is fun. It can also be a little trying at times, but overall an enjoyable project. I think homemade socks would make great gifts.

I am working on another throw. Why? Because any less than 10 projects at a time is not challenging enough.
