Ch-Ch-Changes & Crafting

I found the best deal ever! It was a freebie sitting on the curb waiting to be taken to the dump. I rescued the sad chair. Of course, I failed to take pictures of the sad shape it was in. The top part was black plastic, but was so worn down by the weather when you touched it you got black on your hands! The bottom was solid rust.

I knew it could be saved. How? That is what we have the internets for! Google, that's how. I googled all day for solutions. Finally I found a site that discussed Krylon Fusion paint for plastics. For around $8.00 I fixed this chair! First, I took it apart. Second, I spent about 3 hours scraping rust off the bottom with the dremel and then sandpaper. Third, cleaned , applied primer, and painted. Fourth, painted the top of the chair. I think it was worth the effort. It works well at my sewing machine/craft table.

Now for Mimi's new look:

Simple & Cheap Craft:

All you need is a little piece of wood, acrylic paints, and some way of hanging.Or you can lean it up against something! The look is Andy Warhol-ish. I am amazed Mimi and Moe's hands are about the same size.

Now....Onto the public humiliation. I hope that by showing these pictures I will be SHAMED into organizing and using some of this stuff. I am a hoarder when it comes to craft supplies. The shame!

This is my work station:

This is only the beginning. I am far too ashamed to show you all the other stashes throughout the house.

Have a great day.
